Brandon-Jonathan Teresi, son of Nancy and Sal, was born on June 12,2002 and was only 3 years old when he lost a battle to an unknown disease which doctor’s could only explain as a “Mitochondrial Disease”. After 3 stays in the hospital (December 30, 2004-January 9, 2005, June 10-17, 2005 and his final stay October 10-15,2005), the doctor’s explained to us that this “cell” disease is very rare, is not treatable and always ends a child’s life at an early age.Brandon was a very healthy boy otherwise; you could not imagine that anything was wrong with this very special boy. He could walk, run, talk, and play just like any other 3-year old and more often than not, surpassed other 3-year olds in speech and intelligence. He loved to dance and sing a lot. He played with his 8-year old brother Joey Damian and enjoyed every minute with his family and friends.
Although Brandon is no longer with us physically he is very much so here in spirit. For this reason, we have created a foundation in his name “Brandon-Jonathan Teresi Foundation” to raise funds for the Genetics’ Department of the Ste-Justine’s Hospital for research and equipment. Besides fundraising, this foundation was also created by his family to celebrate Brandon’s very short but very Special life. We will always miss him and we will never forget him.
