Do you know the Brandon-Jonathan Teresi Foundation?
The Brandon-Jonathan Teresi Foundation is a non-profit organization. The purpose of this organization is to raise awareness and funds for research in order to find a cure for a rare condition: Mitochondrial Disease.
My wife and I created this foundation after the passing of our son Brandon-Jonathan on October 15, 2005. In honor of our Son, we have dedicated our time to help raise awareness and funds for research in order to find a cure.
This little known genetic disease can affect one or more organs. When it affects vital organs, the majority of the time it can prove to be fatal as it was for our Son. This disease takes many forms and is yet unrecognizable until time has run out. Routine testing and early detection is the key, which is yet another one of this organization’s goals, but funds are critical to continue the genetic research that is so desperately needed.
The Brandon-Jonathan Teresi Foundation hopes to change the inevitable fate of what Mitochondrial Disease brings.
The foundation aspires to amass funds to be donated to the research of this condition through the Mitochondria Society and Sainte-Justine's Hospital.
